Optimizing a corporation’s facilities and location footprint is an important strategy for improving competitiveness. Getting it right means  striking a balance between lowering operating costs, generating new revenue streams, improving business conditions, and gaining an edge in the attraction and retention of talent. It also means finding the optimal mix of existing and new locations that best meet these requirements, while providing for business continuity, risk management, and implementation speed.

There are four main steps to the Strategic Location Process:

1. Discovery--is where we build the Business Case and Decision Framework Models.
2. Assess and validate-- can include conducting stay/go analysis, a methodical location and site screening process, operating cost/conditions modeling, and field due diligence and validation.
3. Negotiate--is where we align economic incentive and real estate negotiation strategies with corporate goals and objectives.
4. Execute--is where location implementation is aligned with corporate governance.
